postcard perfect: lighthouse at lake superior, michigan

This is a beautiful postcard of a lighthouse located at a cliff near the shoreline of Lake Superior, in Michigan.

Here’s what Mr. Wiki has to say about this astounding work of nature:

Lake Superior (Lac Supérieur in French) is the largest of the five Great Lakes of North America. It is bounded by Ontario + Minnesota {north}, and by Wisconsin and Michigan {to the south}. It is considered the largest freshwater lake in the world by surface area + is the world’s third-largest freshwater lake by volume.

I particularly like this very poignant rendering of the lighthouse + simply adore the beautiful rocks at the shoreline. Thanks, Tera + Gibson, for sending me this wonderful card^_^

My Postcard Perfect share for this week.

My Lakbayan grade is D!

How much of the Philippines have you visited? Find out at Lakbayan!

I have not really seen most of the Philippines, so I was not surprise to find out that I got a grade of D 🙁 It is quite sad + ironic really, but I have really yet to see a lot of the country + visit as much landmarks + beautiful tourist spots + destinations. Alas, money is of the essence + in the mean time, I am not really equipped to embark on a tour or a trip to anywhere in the country. But i vow to see as much of it as I can in this lifetime.

+ in the mean time, I will get myself acquainted with the help of my growing postcard collection 🙂

Care to know what your Lakbayan grade will be? Do share 🙂

Postcard Perfect, postcards, souvenir

This is a multi-view of London {one of my most favorite places on earth, which I hope to visit in this lifetime :)}, which features some of the most famous landmarks in the city: the Big Ben, the Tower Bridge, the world-famous red double-decker bus + the Palace of Westminster.

According to Mr. Wiki, London is United Kingdom‘s largest metropolitan area. It is one of the 2 world’s largest financial center + is home to the busiest airport in the world, the London Heathrow + world’s oldest underground railway network, the London Underground. London boasts of 4 World Heritage sites, namely, Kew Gardens, Westminster Abbey, Tower of London + the historic settlement of Greenwich wherein the Royal Conservatory marks the Prime Meridian or O degrees longitude.

Other world-famous sites to be found in London include St. Paul’s Cathedral, Wembley Stadium, Trafalgar Square, Buckingham Palace + Piccadilly Circus.

Thanks to Jayme-lee, who studied there for 14 weeks, for sending this postcard ^_^

BC Bloggers is one cool way of connecting with other bloggers who share the same passion. It was also one great way of linking up with other blogs, which is very ideal for a fairly new blog like this one 🙂

I had a grand time joining with my mum blog, so I am joining again with my travel blog. I suggest you do the same, simply click here.

I am stuck at home this weekend catching up on laundry, maybe I can catch up on writing some postcards to send to postcrossing friends + hopefully update this blog later in the day 🙂
