an interesting postcard

Pin It

postcards, souvenirsThis interesting postcard arrived a few weeks back, together with The Golden Pathway, a book for review, + a bookmark of the same design. I particularly loved that the author, Donna, even scribbled a short personal message for me. I do not know about you, but for this is a treasure worth keeping.

Coincidentally, my review of the book has been up on my blog for some time now + I am also giving away a hard-bound copy of this book to one lucky winner, in line with that. Hover over to my mum blog to join this giveaway, + who knows, you might even get this postcard, too. čśë

postcard perfect: a snowman from belarus

postcard perfect, souvenirs, postcards

I got this very nice postcard last January. Apart from being my very first one that features a snowman in it, this is also the first time I am receiving a card from Belarus. Here are a few trivia on this country according to Mr. Wiki:

  • a country in Eastern Europe, bordered clockwise by┬áRussia┬áto the northeast,┬áUkraine┬áto the south,┬áPoland┬áto the west, and┬áLithuania┬áand┬áLatvia┬áto the northwest
  • it is officially the Republic of Belarus, with Minsk as the Capital city {+ the largest one, too}
  • its currency is Belarusian Rubble
  • its people are called Belarusian

The postcard came with this equally lovely stamps, which, now that I think about it, makes my postcard a maxicard, right? Oh well, maxicard or not, I just love this postcard. This came from Lana-Minks of Postcrossing.com čÖé

destination, ppur, philippines

Remember the post I made campaigning for the Puerto Princesa Underground River? Well, it is now official + we have got yet another reason to be proud as Filipinos! The Puerto Princesa Underground River is now officially part of the New 7 Wonders of Nature. Check out the official announcement here.

Favored for its breath-taking view, for being one of the world’s longest ┬ánavigable underground river, ┬ánumerous stalactites + stalagmites, + a rich bio-diversity, PPUR is the second New 7 Wonders of Nature to be announced.

This a good day for both Palawan + the Philippines tourism, as making news about this majestic place will draw locals + tourists alike to visit the place, in turn, improving our tourism industry. I only wish I can visit PPUR with my little man very soon čÖé
