postcrossing enthusiast, postcards, souvenirs

It seems like it was only yesterday when I started with this new passion of mine. Postcrossing was born out of my love for receiving surprises from the mail + my would-be passion for traveling the world {which I cannot afford at the time being + probably until the next 15 years :(} + probably my fascination for everything that is beautiful.

Well, time surely flies + before I knew it, I was receiving my 100th postcard, which happens to be this beautiful card of the Yosemite National Park in California, which also happens to be a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Here’s what Mr. Wiki has to say about this magnificent park:

The park covers an area of 761,268 acres spanning eastern portions of Tuolumne, Mariposa and Madera counties in east central California in United States. Over 3.7 million people visit Yosemite every year. It was a designated a World Heritage Site in 1984 + is well known for its spectacular granite cliffs, clear streams, waterfalls, Giant Sequoia groves + biological diversity. Almost 95% of the park is designated wilderness. The park was also a vital piece to the development of the national park idea, thanks to the efforts of Galen Clark and John Muir

stamps, postcards, souvenirs

I won this lovely card from The Wonderlusts Stamped Card Giveaway. It was also sent with these equally lovely stamps {I particularly loved the Breast Cancer one :)}. Thank you Momi Jes!

My Postcard Perfect for this week.

100 postcards from each corners of the world! Wow! 🙂 My hubby and I were supposed to camp out Yosemite a while back…we’re all geared up and only to find out that we should’ve made a reservation months before since the park is very popular it is strongly recommended to reserve a spot ahead of time. So, we didn’t go! End of story. lol!

Btw, thanks for joining my GFC..I believe I tried adding you before but the hacker was nice enough to add his fave music that scared me away! Anyhoo, glad you have your blog back. 🙂
