postcard perfect: an official postcrossing card from russia

postcrossing.com, postcards, Russia

Check out this cool official Postcrossing.com card I got from Russia {RU-761442} a few months back. It came from Olga, who lives in Moscow. This card features one of the Russians’ favorite holiday destinations, Anapa. This town is located near Sea of Azov on the northern coast of the Black Sea.

Here’s a snippet of her message:

I love in Moscow. Now, it is very cold – 23 degrees Celsius. And I want to stay in some warm place and enjoy {the} sun. I think that in your country the weather is fine now…I wish you be happy!

Check out the lovely stamps that she sent along:

Thanks Olga for this beautiful card, hopefully I’d be able to send you a card thru Postcrossing.com someday soon! 🙂

Cheap Family Holidays to Majorca: Palma Nova

travel, destination, Majorca

Booking a break for the family can be an expensive affair, however a quick search online can bring up some brilliant deals on cheap holidays in Europe.

Family holidays to Majorca are an excellent option if your getaway checklist comprises of stunning sunshine and blue flag beaches, with a good selection of bars, eateries and attractions thrown in for good measure.

Travelling with children is tiring for you as well as them, making Majorca a top spot for family stints in the sun. Flights from the UK to Palma take approximately two hours from most main regional airports.

Despite the short flight times, don’t expect to sacrifice any sunshine. Summers in Majorca are sensational. As part of the Balearic Islands, just off the east cost of mainland Spain, temperatures in the high season can hit up to 30 degrees C, averaging between 26-28 degrees.

Be sure to pack UVA and UVB sun protection for your little ones as well as plenty of sunhats and cover ups to protect delicate skin.

Staying conveniently clear of Magaluf – the island’s party capital – Palma Nova is the perfect cheery resort for active families. Home to three blue flag beaches, broods that are happy digging for treasure and building sandcastles will be in their element here, while you kick back and relax with a holiday read.

The main beach runs opposite a selection of bars, restaurants, markets and stores, which are excellently located for those who are planning to venture on a self-catering or half-board basis.

Despite its distance from Magaluf, Palma Nova is dubbed as its sister resort and is within walking range of the attractions on offer. This includes a fantastic evening pirate cabaret show, marine life parks and Western Park, the area’s themed water park.

Search online and book cheap holidays to secure one of the best deals on family holidays to Majorca.
