Bulacan plays host to this year’s Dayaw Festival, a grand celebration + gathering of indigenous Filipino cultures arranged by the National Commission for Culture and the Arts. This is in celebration of National Indigenous Peoples’ Month, with this year’s theme, Katutubong Pamumuhay, Halawan ng Aral sa Buhay.
A bevy of activities are lined-up for this 3-day festivities, starting today, 27 November, spear-headed by the opening ceremonies at the Provincial Capitol in Malolos City, helmed by no less than Gov. Willy Alvarado + NCAA chairman Felipe M. De Leon Jr. Included in today’s schedule of events are:
- Opening program at 8.30am
- Opening of the Tyange area at 8.40am
- Mga Pagtatanghal ng Katutubo {every 30 minutes} from 9am-5pm
- Opening of Dayaw Village at 9.40am
- Opening of DAyaw Exhibit at 9.50am
- Lakbay-sining, which will be simultaneously held in Pulilan, Plaridel + Balagtas at 11.20am
