Spread the love
For this week’s Sunday Stamps we are to share all about letters, postcards and the post. As always, I have not found the chance to photograph the bulk of stamps that I received through my postcards as I find myself swamped with online and offline duties these days. Good thing I found this in the stack of postcards lying idly in my workstation. I simply think the little girl placing the letter onto the mailbox is just beautiful, don’t you think?
This lovely stamp was used in a Donald Duck card, a Postcrossing.com official sent in late last year by Aarne of Parainen, Finland to the little man.
Have a wonderful Sunday and do not forget to check here for more stamps:
How sweet is this stamp! I had never seen it before.
i think it is the only one i have of this design, good thing i got one!
I agree–that is a beautiful stamp and an interesting theme.
Cute, happily its just the right hight for her.
true! 🙂
I wonder whether she is putting the letter in or taking one out. It doesn’t matter which, it’s still a fine stamp.
judging from her posture, I reckon she’s putting the envelope in, but that’s just me! 🙂
Finland has such pretty stamps.
It sure does. I do hope to get more lovely stamps from Finland!
It’s great to get the younger generation started on post writing and stamps!
Thank you for joining us this week! 🙂
I’t a wonderful stamp. I was lucky enough to get one of them a while ago too.
It indeed is difficult to see if she puts the letter into or takes it out of the box.
In the Netherlands we have similar mailboxes, for incoming mail only. These only are in case the front door is far from the public pathway (usually houses in rural areas). But I don’t know if this is also the case in Finland.
Perfect. Lovely subject matter, a colourful stamp and bang on theme.
thanks!
