Got another surprise in the mail

I have been busy swapping with my fellow local postcrossers and I have just recently received another surprise in the mail. It comes in the form of these lovely mint Nat Geo ad cards {which I shall be swapping off to other postcrossers, too} and this new issue of our favorite magazine, Cars. It was timely that Roselyn offered to include this in our swap as I have not gotten around to buying the little man his own copy. Now I was able to save some moolah, thanks to this swap! 😀

I sent a bunch of big cards in exchange for this goodies and I really love my loot! I am working on a few more swaps and I am hoping I will also get loads of lovely things out of them.

Thanks Roselyn for swapping and until our next swap! ^_^

an interesting postcard

postcards, souvenirsThis interesting postcard arrived a few weeks back, together with The Golden Pathway, a book for review, + a bookmark of the same design. I particularly loved that the author, Donna, even scribbled a short personal message for me. I do not know about you, but for this is a treasure worth keeping.

Coincidentally, my review of the book has been up on my blog for some time now + I am also giving away a hard-bound copy of this book to one lucky winner, in line with that. Hover over to my mum blog to join this giveaway, + who knows, you might even get this postcard, too. 😉

postcard perfect: manila ad card

postcard perfect, postcards, souveniers, ad card

I know a lot of postcrosser do not put much stock on ad cards + would rather that they do not receive one, but if an ad card is as beautiful as this black + white vintage Manila map, I don’t think anyone can resist it or will get disappointed receiving it in the mail. Would you agree? ^_^

Okay, don’t get me wrong, it’s not like I’d be collecting ad cards from here on, of course I’d still prefer a regular postcard any given day, it’s just that a gem like this is too hard to pass up.

This is one of the several dozens ad card I got from our Postcrossing Enthusiast EB in November. It was a promotion for yabangpinoy.com, which also served as a free pass for the YP Global Pinoy Bazaar held in Rockwell Tent in Makati late last year. Cool, right?

This is my entry to this week’s Postcard Perfect...
