Today Filipinos the world over are commemorating the 116th death anniversary of our National Hero, Dr. Jose Rizal. He was executed in Bagumbayan on 30 December, 1896 on crimes of sedition, rebellion and conspiracy. His literary masterpieces, Noli Me Tangere and El Filibusterismo, sparked the Philippine revolt against the Spanish regime.

Even people from other parts of the world honor and recognize Dr. Rizal as Asia’s first modern non-violent proponent of freedom. A reenactment of the day of his death, as well as a ceremony in his honor will be held at Rizal Park in Manila today, to be led by no less than Pres. Aquino himself.

This is my very first card from Hong Kong, it showcased the city’s night scene. Judging from the lights + colors, Hong Kong is a place I would love to visit real soon! I’m sure the little man will also love to visit  the Hong Kong Disneyland  😉

The first one features a very colorful Australian bird whilst the second one shows one of the amazing views you can find at the New England Wilderness National Park in New South Wales, also known as the New England National Park, or NENP, which was listed as a UNESCO World Heritage in 1986. Situated on the Northern Tablelands, it also forms part of the New England Group of the Gondwana Rainforests of Australia.
