postcard perfect: a 3d postcard from germany

postcard perfect, 3d postcards, Germany

I received this cool hologram 3D postcard last Tuesday. Isn’t it cool? It features various landmarks from the city of Schwedt / Oder, which is the largest populated city located in the northeast of Bradenburg in Germany.

I won this postcard in one of my various Facebook postcard swapping groups. Susanne sent this in exchange for 4 votes for her mum’s book which was up for a contest at the time. I just wish she’d written a little about the images on the card but nevertheless, I love this postcard! ^_^

postcard perfect: malolos constitution

postcards, direct swaps, Malolos City, Bulacan, postcard perfect

I simply love this postcard I received yesterday as it features a historical event in my city ~ the Malolos Constitution, which was enacted by the Philippine Malolos Congress on 20 June, 1899. This paved the way to the establishment of the First Philippine Republic. Our city has really played a very vital role in our country’s rich history + needless to say I really feel proud to be living in this city! 😉

Another thing that’s so special about this card is that it is a postage prepaid postcard which means it can be sent to anywhere in the world without affixing postage stamps! Clever idea, right? I just wish I can look for this type of postcards locally so that I can send them to my swapmates all over the world, but, alas, local postcards are scarce around here + I really don’t know where to get them! 🙁

Thanks Annie for this beautiful card + for the sweet note you wrote at the back! I simply ♥ it! ^_^

postcard perfect: an art card from russia

postcard perfect, postcard, Russia, official postcrossing.com cards, Postcrossing.com

I got another official Postcrossing.com card {ID#:RU-953411}! Hooray! This is another painting by Boris Kustodiyev of probably one of his favorite subjects, his daughter Irina, titled At the Window – Irina Kustodiyava. This is painted in 1910. Check out this other postcard I got in the past that depicts another Kustodiyev painting of his little girl. I guess I am beginning to love his work, as well as his daughter, too, they are both growing on me. Hopefully I get to receive more of this type of postcards in the future! ^_^

Thanks Liera for this beautiful card + for the lovely note you wrote at the back:

Hello! I hope you like this card! I like art. And I really like this picture, painted in gouache. I recently started painting in oil. It’s fun! ^_^
